Ludo Star ORIGINAL : Star of Ludo is a strategy board game for two to four players, in which the players race their four tokens from start to finish according to the rolls of a single dice. Like other cross and circle games, Ludo is derive from the Indian game Pachisi, but simpler. The game and its variations are popular in many countries and under various names.

Each player in Ludo Star rolls the dice. To enter a token into play from its yard to its starting square, a player must roll a 6. If the player has no tokens yet in play and rolls other than a 6, the turn passes to the next player. Once a player has one or more tokens in play, he selects a token and moves it forwards along the track the number of squares indicated by the dice. Players must always move a token according to the dice value rolled. Passes are not allowed. If no move is possible, the turn moves to the next player.

When a 6 is rolled, the player may choose to advance a token already in play, or may enter another staged token to its starting square. Rolling a 6 earns the player an additional or "bonus" roll in that turn. If the bonus roll results in a 6 again, the player earns an additional bonus roll. If the third roll of Ludo Star is also a 6, the player may not move and the turn immediately passes to the next player.

If the advance of a token ends on a square occupied by an opponent's token, the opponent token is returned to its owner's yard. The returned token can be reentered into play only when the owner rolls a 6. There are no "safe" squares on the game track which protect a player's tokens from being returned. A player's home column squares are always safe, however, since no opponent may enter them.

Ludo Star ORIGINAL: Star of Ludo è un gioco di strategia da due a quattro giocatori, in cui i giocatori corrono le loro quattro pedine dall'inizio alla fine secondo i tiri di un singolo dado. Come altri giochi cross e circle, Ludo è derivato dal gioco indiano Pachisi, ma più semplice. Il gioco e le sue varianti sono popolari in molti paesi e sotto vari nomi.

Ogni giocatore in Ludo Star tira i dadi. Per inserire un gettone in gioco dal suo cortile al suo quadrato iniziale, un giocatore deve tirare un 6. Se il giocatore non ha ancora gettoni in gioco e tira un altro 6, il turno passa al giocatore successivo. Una volta che un giocatore ha una o più pedine in gioco, seleziona un gettone e muove in avanti lungo la traccia il numero di caselle indicate dai dadi. I giocatori devono sempre muovere una pedina in base al valore dei dadi tirato. I pass non sono ammessi. Se nessuna mossa è possibile, il turno passa al giocatore successivo.

Quando viene tirato un 6, il giocatore può scegliere di avanzare un gettone già in gioco, oppure può entrare in un altro gettone messo in scena sul suo quadrato iniziale. Tirando un 6 guadagna al giocatore un tiro aggiuntivo o "bonus" in quel turno. Se il risultato del bonus è nuovamente un 6, il giocatore guadagna un ulteriore bonus roll. Se il terzo lancio di Ludo Star è anche un 6, il giocatore non può muoversi e il turno passa immediatamente al giocatore successivo.

Se l'avanzata di un gettone termina su una casella occupata da una pedina dell'avversario, il gettone avversario viene restituito al suo cortile. Il gettone ritornato può essere reinserito in gioco solo quando il proprietario lancia un 6. Non ci sono caselle "sicure" sulla pista del gioco che proteggono i gettoni di un giocatore dalla restituzione. I quadrati delle colonne di casa di un giocatore sono sempre al sicuro, tuttavia, poiché nessun avversario può inserirli.
